Andy Lloyd
‘Hi, my name is Andrew Lloyd and I’ve been a part-time tattoo artist part-time stunt man for 20 years now I love to tattoo but not as much as I love danger. I’ve been on the cover of Men’s Health magazine twice. After learning to speak 5 languages I became an international man of mystery and am currently yachting my way across the Caribbean stealing secrets from really bad guys. Although I do have some spaces coming up soon if you would like to book in.’
Mike Norval
‘Art has always been my passion from a young age, mainly street art, graffiti. I studied art at college and university. I had the opportunity to take my artistic flair further and develop my skills by landing a tattoo apprenticeship at New Skin Tattoo Studio. I’m very grateful for the opportunity Andy has given to me and have never been so happy turning my hobby into my working career. I have been tattooing full time for 3 years.
I’m very passionate and committed as an artist. I enjoy tattooing any design as it always has a special meaning to the client. I mainly tattoo black and grey realism and a variety of styles but also enjoy colour work too. Every day you learn something new as a tattoo artist but that for me makes my job more enjoyable.’
Terina Dewhurst
‘I began my tattooing apprenticeship at New Skin in 2011, and have now been tattooing for almost 10 years. During this time, I have gained a vast knowledge of the industry and experienced a wide range of styles, meaning I’m always willing to take on the majority of pieces! I particularly enjoy working in the styles of black & grey, dot work/pointillism, Japanese, floral and fine line work- however, I’m happy to work within most other genres too, so feel free to enquire about anything.
My favourite thing about tattooing is meeting a wide variety of people and being able to bring their ideas (whether huge or tiny) to life. I also love working alongside my fellow artists and seeing the work they create, every day is a laugh with us! Outside of tattooing, I have a keen interest in drawing pencil portraits, photography and music. I’m also crazy about dogs, so if you have a dog too, there’s our first ice breaker.’
Craig Phillips
‘I started out as a portrait artist and found my way into the tattoo industry. I joined the new skin team in 2017 and started tattooing at the end of 2019. I enjoy realism and colour but like the challenge of tattooing various styles. I hope to have a long career in tattooing and look forward to future projects.’
Phil Jones
‘I came into tattooing from a background of doing pencil portraits. I was grateful for the opportunity offered to me by Andy to manage his Llandudno studio and learn to tattoo. I spent 12 years there and last year came over to work in the Abergele studio. I can do most styles, black and grey and colour work. I specialise in black and grey realism and really enjoy doing portraits and animals.’
